Link Hotel officially opened its door in 2007. It was the first and only hotel to be converted from conserved art deco apartment blocks that were built by Singapore Housing Development Board in the 1950s and 1960s. The hotel comprises of 2 conserved art deco apartment blocks, known as Lotus Block & Orchid Block and are connected by the Link Bridge. In 2015, the hotel underwent a major renovation, and today, Link Hotel is a contemporary design-driven hotel of style and substance, boasting 274 rooms of 7 different room categories, catering to business, leisure and family travellers. Stepped into the lobby and be wowed by lightings that resemble bird cages and abacus inspired pillars. The reading corner located on the 2nd level of Lotus Block is the perfect place to enjoy your favourite book and a cup of cuppa.
Link Hotel, situated in Tiong Bahru estate, is also Singapore’s oldest housing esate and most charming neighbourhood. Explore the colourful past of Tiong Bahru estate by embarking on a 1 hour walking trail which features 10 stops, spanning 2.5km. The Tiong Bahru Heritage Trail, launched in 14th April 2013 by The National Heritage Board, includes stops at the famed bird corner built in early 1980s which is now part of the Link Hotel, Tiong Bahru Market with a history tracing back to 1945, and Singapore’s first Monkey God temple in Eng Hoon Street which was founded in 1920.
